What documentation is required when placing an order for freight transport in writing?
When placing an order for freight transport in writing, an application and an agreement for the provision of transport services between the customer and the carrier are required. Each carrier has its own sample of these documents. On the part of the carrier company, the trustee is most often the manager of this organization.
Do I need to insure the cargo?
When transporting goods, two main types of insurance are used:
β’ carrier's or forwarder's liability insurance;
β’ cargo insurance in case of damage or loss.
When choosing the first type of insurance, all responsibility for the cargo lies with the person who directly transports this cargo.
More effective, but also more expensive is the second type of insurance. This type of insurance protects the interests of the cargo owner and if something happens to the cargo, the insurance will cover all losses.
Cargo insurance is valid for one trip and insures a specific consignment of goods. To insure the cargo or not - the one who pays for the transportation decides.
What types of documents do transport companies provide to customers upon completion of their services?

What are the rules set by law regarding delivery times?
The main task of the carrier company is the delivery of goods to the specified address.
After the cargo is delivered to its destination, it is accepted by the consignee. Data on the acceptance of cargo are recorded in special documentation.
But the carrier company must also deliver the goods within the time specified in the contract. If the delivery date is not specified in the contract, then:
β’ cargo within the city or suburb is delivered within 24 hours;
β’ cargo between cities is delivered at the rate of one day per 300 km of transportation distance.
